Bushel Named “Farm Management Platform of the Year” in AgTech Breakthrough Awards

August 20, 2026

Annual awards program recognizes innovation in agricultural and food technologies around the globe

FARGO, N.D., August 20, 2026 Bushel, a software company focused on agriculture, today announced it has been selected as “Farm Management Platform of the Year” in the 6th annual AgTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by AgTech Breakthrough, a market intelligence organization that recognizes companies, technologies and products across the global agricultural and food technology markets.

Bushel’s farm management platform helps farmers manage their operations and finances from one digital experience. In a business where margins can shift quickly, farmers need a clear view of what it costs to grow, store, market and move a crop. Bushel brings those pieces together so farmers can better understand where their operation stands and make business decisions with more confidence.

Bushel’s new dashboard gives farmers a connected view of key farm activity and financial information. Instead of piecing together records across notebooks, spreadsheets, scale tickets, invoices, loan portals, and accounting tools, farmers can see more of their operation in one place. The dashboard also connects farmers to their Bushel-powered grain buyer apps, giving them quick access to important information and relationships with the agribusinesses they work with.

Cost of production sits at the center of that experience. Bushel helps farmers organize field activity, land costs, crop plans, inventory, grain movement, marketing and financial information so they can better understand how decisions throughout the season affect profitability.

“Farmers make operational and financial decisions every day, but the information behind those decisions often lives in separate places,” said Jake Joraanstad, CEO at Bushel. “Bushel connects more of that information so farmers can see how a decision in one part of the farm affects another. Whether they’re tracking cost of production, moving grain, managing financing or reviewing expenses, our goal is to give farmers a clearer picture of their business and less manual work along the way.”

Bushel also connects farm management with financial tools. Through partnerships with Cooperative Finance Association and  Farm Credit Bank of Texas, farmers can access financing tools within the same digital experience they use to manage farm activity and commercial relationships. Depending on the participating lender, farmers can manage operating loans, access funds and make payments while connecting financing activity more closely with input purchases, invoices and cash flow.

The Bushel Business Account,* provided by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. Member FDIC, adds an interest-bearing deposit account to that connected financial experience. Farmers can access the account within Bushel and use a debit card for purchases tied to their operation, helping keep more financial activity connected with their farm records, financing, payments and commercial activity.

Bushel is SOC 2 Type II compliant, supporting strong standards for data protection, system availability and confidentiality.

The AgTech sector continues to change how food is produced, managed and distributed. The annual AgTech Breakthrough Awards program recognizes companies and technologies working across farm management, analytics, automation, food technology and other areas of agricultural technology.
