Flagler Cooperative Association serves a new generation of farmers who expect more from their cooperative than a handshake and a phone call. When Grain Accountant Audrey Wieser and her team started hearing requests for easier access to scale tickets, proof of yields, and storage balances, they knew the old ways of doing things weren't going to cut it anymore.
The cooperative partnered with Bushel to meet that demand head-on. With Bushel's customer portal in place, farmer-members gained self-service access to the information they rely on most, without a trip to the office or a call during business hours. Farmers can now pull up scale tickets and storage balances on their own time, from wherever they happen to be.
For Audrey and the team, the impact was clear almost immediately. The routine questions that used to come in by phone were being answered by the app instead. Staff freed up time they had previously spent on those inquiries, and farmers got the transparency they had been asking for.
